Rear sounds playing from front speakers *sometimes*

I have an Chromecast attached to HTR-2071 surround sound system. I play https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TX–Fku9NQ and find that

Left only: Plays on front left
Center only: Plays on center
Right only: Plays on front right
Woofer: Plays on Woofer.
Surround Left: Plays on *Front* Left
Surround Right: Plays on *Front* Right
All speakers: Plays on all speakers (including rear speakers)

What is causing this and how can I fix it? I have tried changing the Chromecast into both forced surround sound modes, and have tried putting the receiver into Decode Sur. mode.
