Casting a Full HD Chrome tab from a 1600×900 Microsoft Surface Go Tablet

I was wondering if it’s possible to cast a Full HD tab to a Chromecast from a 1600×900 Microsoft Surface GO. I have looked above and beyond for the possibities and I couldn’t find anything usefull.

And the things I did found were quite contradictory. Some said you CAN cast from ANY device to a ChromeCast and the ChromeCast will then show the image in FullHD. And some say you can only cast Chrome tabs in 720p.

Anyone who does know if this is possible and how?

I am not 100% sure if this is the right forum… I couldn’t find any forum that was more applicable.

For the people who need more detail:

I have a Surface GO tablet which I want to use to display a server monitoring screen on a TV which has the normal Chromecast plugged in.

The Surface GO tablet can already cast using the casting function from Google Chrome, so it’s working. But the resolution is very low and the image is not clear. And on the 48 inch LG TV it’s not readable.

So I want the TV with the normal ChromeCast plugged in to it, to display the page, which is casted from a Microsoft Surface Go in Full HD on the screen.

What more information do you need exactly? Let me know if you need more.
